Just like scissor lifts and other types of aerial work platforms, boom lifts are another way for professionals to gain access to hard to reach areas where they must work.
There are two basic types of boom lift designs:
The articulating, or "knuckle" booms have multiple sections that move, not just one. This allows workers to gain access to working places that are blocked or have barrier obstacles.
Telescopic Boom (or straight booms) Lifts are a differing sort of high-level work platform. These lifts extend telescopically straight out. They have a much farther horizontal reach outwards toward your destination, instead of vertically. As mentioned these are also commonly referred to as "stick booms," the platforms allow one to reach out over unstable terrain or other fixed obstacles to complete a job.
